M6H15 VTOL Motor Powers the World's First Hydrogen-Powered Joined-Wing UAV's Maiden Flight
On December 5, the UAV technology research team of Inner Mongolia Baosheng High-Tech Technology Co., Ltd. successfully completed the maiden flight test of the LY-3200H, the world's first 23 kg-class hydrogen-powered joined-wing vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) UAV.


The success of this maiden flight marks a significant breakthrough in China's research, development, and industrialization of small-scale hydrogen-powered compound-wing VTOL UAVs.
The aircraft features a unique joined-wing aerodynamic configuration, equipped with a 2 kW hydrogen fuel cell system. With a wingspan of 3.2 meters, a take-off weight of 23 kg, and a payload capacity of 3 kg, it achieves an endurance of 4 to 5 hours, with potential for future extension to 8–10 hours.

The M6H15 motor served as the VTOL propulsion system on this UAV, contributing to the successful completion of the maiden flight.The motor employs lightweight materials and electromagnetic optimization design, effectively reducing overall aircraft weight while maintaining load-bearing capacity, thereby enabling greater payload capacity and extended flight endurance for the UAV.
